That's A Fabulous Handbag

I love the YSL handbags for their very clean and simple designs, but sometimes I like it when they add some details that make the bag more stylish, like studs, or, like with this bag, oversized, rough stitching. Louis Vuitton does the same detail on their higher end Peek a Boo and it really emphasizes the craftmanship of the bag. Same here. You know this bag was handmade and not massed produced in some factory line.

This YSL bag is military green suede with raised, oversized stitching around the signature Y. It has two rolled leather handles and a single zipper across the top of the bag. It has gold colored hardware. $1,862 at LUISAVIAROMA.

This Thursday, 9/10 is Fashion's Night Out in New York, and designers think of little gimmicks to attract customers and people to attend their event. This exclusive Tory Burch camo tote will be given to customers who spend any amount on September 10th at Tory Burch’s meat packing or Nolita stores. Cute. Does this tote make you want to check out the event and spend?

This YSL tote will be given out on the streets of New York on Saturday 9/12 during Fashion Week. The cotton tote designed by Creative Director Stefano Pilati features Christy Turlington in the Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2009-10 collection upside down, and on the flip side is a list of what she wore. Interesting. I like this one alot... the perfect excuse to get to NY for Fashion Week.

I really like this handbag. It's Yves Saint Laurent Mombasa Sequined Hobo, Fall 2008. I love the conservative color use on a very unconservative handbag. This is definitely not an everyday bag, but for those of us who need something larger than a clutch for evening, this is fantastic.

I'm assuming the sequins are securely attached, because missing sequins would be my number one dislike about beaded/sequined bags.

The YSL signature horn handle makes this bag all the more interesting; horn and sequins just don't go together. YSL combines flashy and conservative in this fabulous hobo.
