While I am a fan of Louis Vuitton handbags in general, I really like their special edition bags such as this Monogram Velours Lurex Pochette Kali. It is named after the Sanskrit word for black. This lovely handbag is made from silky black velvet, which further highlights the golden Monogram motif. It has soft black satin lining, a golden brass pendant accent, and a golden chain and leather shoulder strap.

For some reason WWD is reporting that shoe designer Stuart Weitzman is venturing into the handbag market with the debut collection launching early next summer. Ummm. Memo to WWD, Stuart Weitzman handbags have been on the market since early 2009. The one above is one of my favorites and match his gorgeous petrol patent shoes. The Louis Vuitton Epi line has undergone a bit of a change with a new shiny and glossy finish. The Epi line is their most understated and elegant in the entire Louis Vuitton handbags brand. I have a small clutch from the line that I absolutely love! The new finish on the classic line gives it a fresh look and makes it more appealing to the less conservative, younger set.
