That's A Fabulous Handbag

I have loved most of the Givenchy handbags from the spring and summer 2010 collection, but this is one of my favorites. It’s a front flap shoulder bag, but still soft and slouchy like a tote. It is black leather with gold toned stud accents. The top flap closure is decorated with gold toned spiked studs, embossed stars and a circular plate with the Givenchy logo. It has a single shoulder strap with gold toned rings at the bottom and gold toned logo on either sides of the handle. There is a front snap closure, front slit pocket under the flap, and black canvas lining with two front slot pockets and one back wall zippered pocket. Available at Mytheresa.com, $1,575.

I love these newly released mirrored Marc by Marc Jacobs bags. This one is a large duffel bag, perfect for travel or as a tres chic gym bag. It is just one style from a collection of various sized mirrored bags. This one comes in mirrored silver and mirrored gold, both are fabulous.

These bags are logo embossed metallic leather and has dual handles and a detachable shoulder strap. It has a large logo plaque on the front and matching hardware, silver on the silver bag and gold on the gold bag. It has the Marc Jacobs signature print interior lining. $248 at Zappos.

This year I have truly fallen for Alexander Wang handbags, and this Brenda zipper bag is one of my favorites. It has come out in many colors, but for spring I really like this soft grey color. These designer handbags have  a Hollywood following, ensuring them to be a huge success. Some of the first versions to be released (army green and black) already sold out.

This bag is soft grey suede with silver tone zippers and cross screw stud trim. It has zip and welt pockets at the front, coil chain shoulder straps that are threaded through side loops, and a zippered shoulder cushion. I’m a big fan of Alexander McQueen handbags in general, but the ‘Faithful’ tote has been one of my favorites. It has come out in many colors from red, black, blue and even paint splattered, but this ‘military’ version is by far the best.

This bag is a tote style in distressed military green leather. It has dual handles, front zip and snapped pockets, two pockets on either side, and protective feet on the bottom of the bag. It has repeated circular pattern stylishly stitched leather accents at the bottom edges, and gold hardware. The front zipper pull displays the Alexander McQueen logo. $1,929  at Zappos.

This version of the Alexander McQueen ‘Squeeze it’ clutch was just released yesterday and they are already almost sold out! And I can see why. I already loved the unique shape and design of this bag, but the print is fabulous and was used throughout his spring and summer 2010 clothing collection as well.

This bag is silk fabric with brown leather trim. It has gold hardware and a leather platform bottom. As you can see from the picture below, it’s a roomy bag for a clutch and can hold most of the essentials. $499 at Zappos.

Alexander Wang handbags burst into the fashion scene during this season more than any other in recent memory due to his stud bottom handbags. The most popular was the Rococo mini duffel and the bucket bag. The Rococo (shown) has been more popular in large part due to the classic shape, very much like the Louis Vuitton Speedy and the Gucci Boston bag.

This bag is textured black leather with a box pleat and hidden zippered pocket on the side. The flat cone studs that cover the bottom of the bag are engraved with the Alexander Wang logo.
