You're looking at what Style.com is calling the 'it' bag for the upcoming Spring and Summer 2010, a Proenza Schouler Mini Sac. I totally get the pick, it's a fabulous, hipster chic bag and it's not terribly expensive. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the metal chain strap has been heat treated so it's multi colored. The bag itself is red and purple print leather with a logo patch on the front. It has a removable wrist strap. Available at LUISAVIAROMA.COM

The Proenza Schouler designers, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough, were inspired by surfing and skating for their spring/summer 2010 collection. "We wanted something young, something that felt fresh, so we looked to surfing and skating, the things we grew up on." For the handbags this translated into brightly colored sporty chic designs. The bags are slightly on the wild side, with animal prints and multiple bright color combinations, but the overall effect is fabulous. Who's going to carry a Proenza Schouler spring 2010 handbag? The cool girls.
