I had never heard of Camilla Alves (pictured left) until she started dating Matthew McConaughey. Well, she has her own line of handbags and even Matthew himself carries the manbags (pictured below)
The line is called Muxo. The Muxo line, which means “Goddess of the Water”, by Alves has a distinct hippie vibe; a hippie vibe for those who can afford to drop big bucks- think Kate Hudson.
Details like distressed leather, fringe and embellishment and hues of burgundy, ochre and chocolate make the collection - which runs from $500 to $1,300 - unique. The Paulista bag above is one example, priced at $1,350.
I kind of like this hobo. I like the croc- embossed leather and the overt, rugged stitching detail. Although I'm not sure how the gold studs on the strap match the rest of the bag. Her other bags have a similar feel.
This one looks like a canteen, which may have been what she was going for. The craftsmanship and materials of her handbags are notable, but, personally, I wouldn't buy one.
