I came across these Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags yesterday in the department store, and I absolutely love them. The leather is super soft and it’s a roomy and slightly slouchy, perfect for an everyday bag. The pockets on the side are the perfect place for the cell phone, allowing for quick and easy access. This bag comes in three colors (shown below), and all are great colors that can go with most outfits.

This Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag is a bit less "party girl" and more "girly girl", but setting the name aside, I like the bag. I think it would be adorable with jeans for a casual look. The appliquéd hearts are framed with eyelash fringe for a bit of a vintage look. The cotton hearts are sewn on the satin bag and detailed with logo embossed gold studs. I know we have been in a recession for awhile now, but I didn't notice luxury goods scaling back until now. The spring and summer collections that are hitting stores for the upcoming season consist of the lower and mid level luxury brands like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade. While stores like Net a Porter usually stock up with Lanvin, Judith Leiber, Marc Jacobs, Balmain and Chloe, this Spring the selection is scant to say the least. The majority of the handbags are less than $1,000. Yikes! Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Hermes, I'm sure, are feeling the pinch.
