That's A Fabulous Handbag

Animal print is a big trend in Fall and winter and 2010 is no exception. This Lanvin handbag is one of my favorite examples to showcase the trend. It’s an elegant and chic ‘classic flap’ design that can be worn for many years and still be in fashionable.

This designer handbag is brown tone leopard print in pony skin. It has a front flap with brass metal and black perspex turn lock closure and double gold metal chain link shoulder straps interwoven with black grosgrain ribbon that fastens in a bow at one side. The chain straps have flat patent leather strips on the shoulders for added comfort. Chains thread through metal eyelets at the front and back of the bag. The interior is black satin lined with a single zip fastening pocket. This bag has the signature detachable Lanvin Paris charm with bolt ring fastening. $1,895 Available here.

My favorite of all the Lanvin handbags is their Happy shoulder bag.  It’s a classic, flap style, but the chain and ribbon strap and gemstone turn lock give it a stylish and chic updated look.

This bag is leopard print calf skin with gold hardware turn lock and chain strap. The chain strap is interwoven with black ribbon and Lanvin coin charm. It has black logo lining with a single zip pocket on the back wall. This bag measures: Height 22cm Width 28cm Depth 9cm. $2,317 Available here.

I absolutely loved this Lanvin handbag when it came out a few months ago, and now it has been marked down. It is from the Lanvin Spring and Summer 2010 collection and was a runway bag. The happy design is one of their more popular, being a classic flap shoulder bag.

This bag is beautifully colored python in a subtle bleed from gold to a red flap. It has the signature chain strap woven with a silk bow detail and coin charm. It's a medium sized shoulder bag, and fairly wide and deep. $2,463. Check out the designer handbags sale at LUISAVIAROMA.

This is one of the prettiest Lanvin handbags I have seen in awhile. It’s rose colored quilted silk with tonal stitching, but the real beauty is in the rose colored tulle covered chain strap. It’s that, with the lilac satin bow that give this bag it’s feminine chic appeal. It has a fold-over with double copper toned snap closure that matches the copper toned chain strap and black signature lining. As you can see in the pic’s below, it’s a quite roomy bag, good for day to night. This bag measures : Width 35cm-14"/ Height 18cm-7"/Depth 12cm-5"  and the shoulder strap is approx. 77cm-30"

Lanvin handbags, especially their metallic python Happy bag, are among my absolute favorites out of all the spring collections. It's beautifully colored in a subtle bleed from gold to a red flap, python is among my favorite materials for a bag, and it has the signature chain strap woven with a silk bow detail and coin charm. Lanvin Metallic python Happy fold-over handbag

I die. This bag...words cannot describe how much I love this bag (above). Out of all the Lanvin handbags, the Happy fold over is my favorite, but in metallic python it's even better. And not just any plain old metallic, but a subtle bleeding of all over gold into red, matching the twist lock in front. As usual, the Happy tote has the ribbon in chain strap with Lanvin coin charm and oversized bow detail.

I really like all the handbags from this collection, especially the totes, which are my go-to, everyday designs I typically carry. Totes are simply the most convenient bags for me in my hectic, daily life. The Miki fold-over is an OK bag (last pic), but it lacks the pretty, signature ribbon and bow detail that I love, and the button detail on the front is somewhat random.
