That's A Fabulous Handbag

I wasn't a fan of this Louis Vuitton handbag when it was debuted and I'm still not, however I must admit the detail is incredible. Check out the sequins...they have impressions of the LV Monogram & Flowers. This bag comes from the Cruise 2010 collection and is available at select Louis Vuitton boutiques.

The Louis Vuitton Cruise spring 2010 collection features beautifully embellished minaudieres and pailette embellished drawstring pouchettes. I really like this collection, especially on the heels of the not-so-great spring/summer 2010 collection. These bags, or mostly clutches, are very pretty and feminine, but also very chic. The pailette pouchettes feature the gold Louis Vuitton name plates that are a more recent, and very popular, detail.

Here's a look at the Louis Vuitton Cruise collection for 2010. We already saw a couple of the bags that had that great nautical rope detail, but these bags are from the more classic lines - monogram vernis, damier azur, and epi leather.

 New colors for the Monogram vernis, pistachio (in the back) and pink. A SoBe clutch in the pale pink, and an interesting Coin Purse. The collage/patchwork sewn onto the purse is said to be Mrs. Vuitton's cartoon-like designs back in the days.

 Anothe new color for the vernis Alma, silver and a SoBo in silver.

 Epi Leather pieces, but in patent leather. I like these alot!

 The Damier Azur pieces, but this time a neverfull in this collection.

Here are the cruise bags with the nautical rope detail. The Monogram pattern has been printed twice to achieve that painterly effect.

 This crocodile clutch/minaudiere is absolutely gorgeous!

The Louis Vuitton Handbags for the Cruise Collection 2010 has elements of boating, which gives the bags a great summer-y feel. The thick rope used in the strap looks like boat ties, but makes a very distinct and stylish design element. Denim also has a laid back, vacation feel, so what better material to use in the Cruise collection? As usual, Marc Jacobs did a fabulous job!
