When I think about Christian Louboutin handbags, a evening bag or clutch usually come to mind, and while he does full sized bags in moderation, I’m usually not crazy about them. His forte is sexy little pieces, so I was surprised to see this gorgeous mid-sized bag in Louboutins’ Fall/Winter 2011 collection.  While it’s not a carry-all, it’s large enough to be an everyday bag for those of you that don’t have to lug around juices and tons of other child related necessities. It has a dressier look, with the gold chain strap and bow detail, but like a Chanel classic flap, it’s versatile and can look beautiful and appropriate in a dressy or casual setting. For someone that doesn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a bag that can only be used in certain settings, this is the perfect antidote.

Christian Louboutin is proving to be an excellent bag designer, as well as a master cobbler. Often the bags are designed around a shoe from the seasonal collections, and this bag, the Marianna spike shoulder bag, is one of them. It matches the spiked pump, Lady Clou (pictured below), and both accessories are fabulous. All of the Louboutin bags have red silk lining to match the signature red soles on the shoes.

I’m very pleased that Christian Louboutin decided to continue with his handbag collections, as I think they are getting better every year. I always love his little clutch bags with the shoe shaped snap closure, but I’m a shoulder bag kind of girl, so a design like this one is more my speed.
