As we have been seeing lately, luxury handbag designers are creating lines for popular, yet inexpensive stores. The latest is Carlos Falchi for Target. Carlos Falci's luxury brand is exclusively exotics - croc, python, eel, etc.... So it makes sense that his line for taget are faux versions of his luxury bags. The collection features the designer’s vivid combinations of color, pattern and texture in rich colors on signature styles. The hobos, satchels, shoulder and messenger bags feature Falchi’s signature collage techniques in faux exotic materials at extremely reasonable prices.

The Carlos Falchi for Target collection ranges in price from $19.99 to $49.99 and will be available November 1, 2009 through December 27, 2009.

This handbag is a Carlos Falchi Short Flap Hobo, Fall 2008. I love the snakeskin, means there are fewer roaming around, and their skin makes nice handbags. The snakeskin is shiny bombe python.

I also like the braided strap. Otherwise this is a very simple design, but quite functional with a simple flap opening and strap length suitable to wear on your shoulder or hold in your hand (8" drop).

 This handbag also has topstitching detail, inside zip pockets, money clip, keyholder, and cell phone holder.

I like the contrasting interior patchwork print. It's pricey, but it's python. $2,210
