So sad. Alexander McQueen was found dead in his home this morning. He was only forty years old. He was a genius designer, and created the 'it' bag of the year, the knuckle duster clutch, of which there are no more in circulation. As for his iconic signature bags there are still a few skull clutches, like the union jack, and there are a few Faithful Glove clutches, and a Squeeze It, but his collections sell out fast, so most is no longer available. I wonder if his complete Spring/Summer 2010 collection will still be released? Prices are sure to shoot up as his designs are now collector's items. What's left of Alexander McQueen handbags are available here
.
UPDATE: Upon the news spreading about his death, Alexander McQueen designs are selling out across the globe. Already gone are every single Skull clutch and Squeeze it, with only a few remaining Faithful Glove's and some of his shoulder bags.
I imagine his yet-to-be-released Spring and Summer 2010 bags (below) will carry an even heftier price tag.
